Stop harping on about the impractical/slow e30 and buy a nice looking car like this e34 m5.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M5-E34-19 ... 500wt_1202

How good does it look in this colour and with the turbine cover wheels. Its a hand build m car with fair miles and good history for less than 5k.

The 3.6's do go well and s38 engine does look fantastic, especially in this day of turbo chargers and plastic engine covers.

Who's going to buy it then?

Sorry Jon, worthy and all chariot as these may be, the values are still heading south . The fact that they look like a 518 and have exotic running costs mean people are rightly scared / not interested. This one needs a service and the A/C is dead and still a R12 system. I am sure 20 minutes with a srewdriver and I could find plenty of other reasons not to buy it :(

They are sh1t breakers and the engines are not particularly sought after as the 3.6 is fairly strong and deemed too heavy / complex for conversions. There are plenty of snotters for sub 2k that usually end up being fragged.
