E46 Convertible

A customer of mine has a 320i(2,2) e46 2000 year, X plate.

He wants the roof to open and close via the key fob..

It opens and closes by using the key in the door lock..

Plugged my Launch in and in the roof settings, it won't recognise the key being pressed for either open or close..

Does this need a extra new loom kit and relay wiring in, or need to go to BMW for programming?
