That's had a proper ebay councilfest bit of modding, but I guess nothing that can't be reversed

Hello there,
I would stay away from the 728 the engine is under powerd for the car, i had the same dilema i have a 735i sport and it is real good on long run's and not bad localy.
To be honest with you i have had mine 3 years now, touch wood it has been good to me, as long as you regularly service it it's not going to give you major problems. They are built very well but i would stick with the V8.
I know dipps on the zone is selling his 740i.

I disagree. I've driven a 728i and it felt pretty brisk and no way under powered. Its creamy smooth and perfect for mileage munching on the motorway plus gives decent MPG on the run.biggill wrote:Hello there,

Mine's a minter with FSH that runs like a charm though. Thanks to a deal with Pacer, it now has the fourth and final brand new 15 inch BBS to compliment the four new Firestones. It's one car I've always kept good and done everything to including a new screen in November.e30topless wrote:Diddler, you and Everett have a lot in common, Leggy 730i's that are Garage queens
I paid £500 for it 9 years ago. It's probably not worth much more now.

Have you found out what's wrong with the turd yet? Hopefully a hose - you don't want to get involved with head gaskets on one of these.The_Diddler wrote:Great, sounds like a bargain, where can I get one, mind it must come complete with issues and be bought by a complete moron...........Andyboy wrote:I recommend an M reg 730i for £650.

Needed new rad and expansion bottle, coolant seemed to be leaking from the back of the engine, whipped inlet manifold off to be greeted by a throughly fecked valley pan gasket, plus the two metal coolant pipes running from the waterpump to the rear accumilator were stuffed in with no gasket just lots of silicone.........., new gaskets etc should be at the dealer in the next couple of days.Andyboy wrote:Have you found out what's wrong with the turd yet? The white one is brilliant. I've always looked at the BMW roundel and thought "why isn't it 3 feet wide?"
