Lovely, love the original matt look to the whole interior, none of this shiny crap.
I've noticed the seal around the outer rear door frame, I don't fancy going outside in the snow to look at mine, but sure it doesn't have the extra seal..

why Barry?
I know it's rare fast ect, but 25k is a fairly decent amount to spend on a car, I wasn't having a dig, but that amount can get a really good chariot along with import duties registration fees and bringing it over etc,,,,
this would be close to 28-9 k ?

Because that M5 is nowhere near as rare as the E36, its got a spastic gearbox and the value is only going one way where as the E36 will only go the opposite.
Not only that, the repair bills that some of these E60 M5's can potentially generate is frightening not to mention servicing and wear and tear parts prices.
F*ck that!
If i had £25k to spend it wouldnt be on either of these turds though!

25k or 28-9k to get this on the road in the UK IMO will buy a very very serious car, where would you put your money ?

it'll be a few years before that e36 rises any more the thick end of 30 bags! Import that now and your money will also only go one way. Si's nailed it when he says "if his numbers come up" i.e. money no object. Theres not many people into old e36's in the uk that fall into that bracket. Money no object men would be ploughing their cash into exotica not an aging e36 estate
Yes it's an epic chariot but I can think of better places to place 25 bigguns.

Quite true, it wont be shooting up in value anytime soon but they wont be dropping in price either.B7 wrote:it'll be a few years before that e36 rises any more the thick end of 30 bags! E36's have bottomed out now and sought after models like M3's and Alpina's wont be getting any cheaper, nice examples are thin on the ground now.
E36's are where E30's were 6-7 years ago.

Won't loose money and a hoot to boot!
An E60 Alpina B5 is preferable to an E60 M5.
Supercharged V8 FTW!

being an old fat c**t I'd be dropping the money on this:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3148996.htm
or this and use the change to finance the fuel to propel it round europe.

He now has stored up in one of the garages, a black 80's 911. Not sure if it is the Turbo (has the whaletail) or just a carrera but it's bloody mint!!! Not my cup of tea to be honest and very predictable of him. A typical 911 owner

If your numbers came in this B8 would be the stealth motor for the daily sneek about to avoid the paps in. They'd never guess it was you.
Come on think about it, V8 engine check. Manual check. Big boot check. Alpinaness check Theres nothing else about bar the V8 m3 that will be similar to one of these.
They were going to be special in their elder years from the off. 221 built in total.
