Does indeed use the e30 roof and mechanism. Looks to be the power option as well looking at the switch in the centre console.

I like it. But check the other mods they've done.

4HP22 switchable ZF conversion.
OBC
Electric recaros (albiet purple  )

Some serious work gone in there.

And check control, E30 window switches and what looks like the display from an Alpina vent gauge.

If its got check control and all the other E30 parts then maybe it has a whole E30 body loom?

I bought a hardtop off a guy near Karlsruhe last year, who had 2 of these under construction. He had an enormous amount of E9 spares in a large shed too, saying he had broken over 30 E9's. He bought E30s as donars for the roof mech and horseshoe, then broke the rest. Because the E30 roof was so familiar, it made the E9 look odd, but to the man in the street, I'm sure it looks ok.
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!

The E9 coupe is an aesthetic masterpiece , the delicate pillars and elegant roof line are a styling tour de force and then some geyser with leather shorts and an angle grinder comes along and ruins it ! :(

As is always the way, Cutting off the roof for Gay-boy posers types. Ruins what is an epic looking chariot.

What a joke. The E9 was known for being somewhat lacking in structural rigidity. Cutting the roof off is going make that very flexible. As well as utterly Gay.

I think that's gorgeous. It must bend & flex like made though! + you wouldn't want to roll one!
