E36 325i question for the experts please!!!!

Hi fellas, i was wondering whats the most reliable way to confirm if the front shocks off a e36 328i will fit my 1992 325ise....the guy selling em says yes but i thought i would check with you guys....the part number is VNE 4417/4418...or is there a site where i can cross check it with my chassis number???? many thanks

i think you'll find theres 4 different shocks for that year of 36, and all the tops of the stanchons are different!
