e46 frnt wheel bearing hub

As above is it easy to do your self an what tools are needed what's best to buy just the bearing or complete kit with the hub

As far as I know you can't even buy just the bearing anywhere, they all come as a complete hub.
E46 is the same as the e36, and I did one of mine recently.
You'll need a 46mm socket ( or 1 13/16th inches in old money )
Undo big nut, remove calliper and disk, pull the old hub off ( lump hammer should do the job ) you might need a slide hammer, puller or carefully grind the inner race if it sticks on the axel. Tap te new bearing in making sure you only put pressure on the centre. I tapped it on enough to get the centre but started, then wound that on to push it all the way home.
Put everything back on, put the wheel back on but remove the centre badge first, that way you can drop the car down to fully tighten the hub but without pulling against the spring of the arb, and bottom out the damper.
Probably 30mins to an hour depending how easily other bits and bobs come off.
