E36 323 Touring automatic (How crap are they in the snow?)
Been through many a winter in a RWD and handled it like a true hero, but this is my first winter in an Auto, it does have a snow setting on the box but I’m expecting it to be truly crap.
Am I right???
I plan on putting a few slaps in the boot to keep weight over the rear wheels

My old 323 coupe with ASC was hopeless just wondering if the auto will be better or worse.capri_rob wrote:My manual 323 touring with ASC was hopeless.
Both the E30's i've owned were excellent in the snow for a RWD

Auto's better on snow/ice, remember clarkson's motorworld in greenland?
The Touring's good with extra weight over the driven wheels, the E36 will take 15's (14's?) so you can fit narrow winter tyres.
Unlike our E46 which has minimum of 17's which are 8" wide with 225 tyres. Snow = fail

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Our manual 323 was pretty good last year, but its pretty flat round our neck of the woods. Rob not your street but the one you turn off to get to your is steeeeeeeep
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Yep - didnt matter how I did it, either slowly or a full-bore run up I could only get halfway up before it just spun outDuke137 wrote:Our manual 323 was pretty good last year, but its pretty flat round our neck of the woods. Rob not your street but the one you turn off to get to your is steeeeeeeep
