I wonder if that cage is msa legal? if so could make a good base for a track car, seems pretty tidy!

I was thinking that, I do fancy an e36 track car, but Id at least want the 2.8, there so cheap to pick up now though, especially saloons, I do fancy all the touring car decals though... on a track car only, dont really fancy driving round the streets in something like that though lolhazd31 wrote:I wonder if that cage is msa legal? if so could make a good base for a track car, seems pretty tidy!

Thats a zoners old car.He was planning sticking an m3 engine in it but didnt have the time/motivation to finish it.
The cage isnt legal .He build the car just for the looks didnt plan on taking it to a track.
Cracking car and with a bigger engine would be a nice track day weapon.
Sure there is a thread on here about it somewhere.

No it bloody wouldn't! That cage is made from fecking scaffold! With some large pointy brackets right in places your head would try and occupy. Absolute death trap. He got a bit upset when this was pointed out. I like the looks outside though..shedrool83 wrote:Thats a zoners old car.He was planning sticking an m3 engine in it but didnt have the time/motivation to finish it.

Read again i said the cage isn't legal .You'd need to sort it out for track use.

A cage doesn't have to be MSA/legal anything for track use. That cage would need sorting to drive to the shops. You just said it wasn't MSA legal. I have pointed out it is a death trap.shedrool83 wrote:Jhonno wrote:No it bloody wouldn't! That cage is made from fecking scaffold!
