Does anyone know how easy it is to swap to fake walnut trim to ali on the e39?
What about a carbon look wrap like the e46?

Easy apart from the radio flap. To get the whole cage out its dash out. However if you feel under the flap you'll find thre spire washers. Prise those off and replace the trin using good trim tape. Did mine 18 months agio and no issues so far.
rest of the dash trims are just prise off as are door strips. the centre console is a selection of screws etc.
