Hi guys,

I have done some research, got the pasenger seat occupancy bypass module, I just have a quick question, Everyone says I have to disconnect the battery for a while so the airbags don't go off when I connect the sensor, I am just really curious, how on earth can plugging an unpowered module on in place of the occupancy sensor set off the airbags???? All it is doing is telling the car someone is sitting in the seat.

I got no problem disconnecting the battery, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Ta.

May just be a precaution, given that airbags are classed as an explosive device?

The main reason for disconnecting the battery is so that you don't end up introducing a fault in to the system and putting the airbag light on, if you go unlugging/plugging things in you will probably put the airbag light on.

Ah, ok, that makes more sense! The airbag light is already on, hence fitting the module, but I can see how it will still pay to disconnect it all!

Thanks
