Hi guys just a quick question, does the E36 318is come with a timing chain or a belt? my bro is thinking of buying one tomorrow

sweet thanks, so what engine type are they because i thought they were m42/m40 engine and iirc they came with a belt didnt they?

It's an M42 in the early E36 and M44 in the later E36. M42 in the E30. Both were Chain driven. M40 was a belt.
