There's something that has been bugging me for quite a while now... the E46 has a small screen on the dash which shows stuff like outside temp, radio channel. It also has a satnav box in the boot next to the CD changer. In the satnav box is a CD/DVD with what looks to be a totally fake printed label claiming to be satnav software.
What is the system, and is it worth making it work?

sounds like business sat nav same as in my e46, ive never used it myself but the previous owner said she'd used it quite alot and said it was pretty good, i even have a genuine up to date cd including europe

Mine doesn't boot, and the dealer wanted £900 to fix it. I assume that CD is might expensive? The car was registered in 2000 so I think it's a CD rather than DVD....

yeh the cd's are pretty pricey the figure of around £175ish rings a bell, sod paying up 900 quid though there must be another way to reboot it
