Afternoon all,
After a bit of a remote keyfob battery failure and alarm based disaster a year ago, my E32 (1994 740i) alarm module thinks the car is being stolen. It will not pair keys any more, I have tried countless times, so has my main dealer. I can lock/open the car fine with the key, and can start and drive it perfectly happily, just cannot pair keys since the alarm disaster.
After lots of searching the net, general consensus is that the alarm ECU has an "init lock" parameter that needs to be reset with INPA or DIS.
Main dealers want the car for hours of diagnosis, at much cost of course.
Does anyone have INPA or DIS working anywhere near Wiltshire, and would you be willing to let me come over and plug the car in briefly? Happy to pay, just not for 3 hours at main dealer rates.
Cheers all,
Martin.
Anyone with DIS/INPA diagnostics in Wiltshire?

A friend of mine has BMW DIS and can do the job for you but they are based in Crawley near Gatwick.

Thanks for the info. I will wait a few days to see if anyone is closer, I'll come back to you and see if I can arrange something with your friend.
