Bit of a reverse WIW thread.

There's a bloke selling an 1989, 81k, 3 owner, FBMWSH E32 730i (M30). I haven't seen it but it seems to be clean enough in the pics. With a recent inspection II done to the tune of £2.6k at the local stealer I'm thinking it may turn out to be utterly mint.

The only thing putting me off is the council spec cloth interior, does that mean the rest of it is likely to be poverty spec or did it really not matter with these? Anything to look out for when viewing? He wants £1350.

Is that the going rate for inspection 2 these days? He's supposedly pissed that amount away and now wants only £1350 for the car. Something doesn't add up.

Apart from that, how are we supposed to evaluate a car without seeing it?

I would suspect the price was for significant suspension/fuel/gubbins work after the I-2 picked up defects. I also suspect it wasn't the current owner that paid for the work.

There won't be any pics, I was really asking what to look for and if the price was fair for a possibly mint car with shit spec.

I know of a breaker with full leatherz that could be had, problem is prising it out of the guys hands for a reasonable money. Good thing is it was possibly the best looked after e32 in scotland before the current ruffian got a hold of it, plenty of decent spares to be had if i do get it.
