There wre a lot of those in Switzerland when I lived there for a year in 1971. The BMW glas 1600 coupe was the best looking. Had the same badges on the boot as the "real" 1602, but wasn't the same class.

BMW bought (or brought as its known on the 'Zone :D ) Glas in 1966. Glas were originally based at what is now BMW's Dingolfing plant iirc.
