Yes, it is a dreadful colour! I wouldn't want to pay more than 5K myself, it could be a whole heap of trouble!

Fookin 'ell - in the 1st ad a 110L fuel tank is mentioned - over £150 to fill up

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite

The tank was rusty inside unfortunately!
I'm hoping to get some decent photos tomorrow.

A 'cheap' Scottish BiTurbo with a running problem, this will not end well/ cheaply !Rodderz wrote:Yes, it is a dreadful colour! I wouldn't want to pay more than 5K myself, it WILL be a whole heap of trouble!
PS, I am assuming the original keeper was a MR S Wonder. What a vile colour scheme

i.e take the price of a nice original well maintained car with history, add ten grand and then another five for luck. The same story with E34 M5's. No such thing as a cheap one.pacerpete wrote:A 'cheap' Scottish BiTurbo with a running problem, this will not end well/ cheaply !Rodderz wrote:Yes, it is a dreadful colour! The one is only £2000? Surely that's worth just the engine for an E30 swap if the car is shit, if nothing else??

its true though, a hard car to value but if the auto box is slipping and it has holes in the cills then its looking dicey for a 200,000 mile alpina of any sort.
I'm badly tempted would be an epic chariot, its gagging for some manual conversion and a front spoiler. Would be quite quick then i think.

the bi-turbo. he had two e34 alpinas for sale IIRC, one was thought to be a fake. I would have gone for a look at the bi-turbo had it not been in the worst spec i have ever seen one in and the other one was not fake.Rodderz wrote:Which car?Kos wrote:that guy selling has only recently bought it

different car guys, the green one turned out to be a B3.5 and he is now selling his Bi-T. The thread is here on PH
http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.as ... mid=102018
The green one posted up on RR is a genuine e34 B10 3.5.
If its as good as it looks, is that price really too much?
As for that silver V8 B10, first one I've seen.

Totally agree, those seats are truly dreadful.
I thought £73 to fill up my E30 was bad enough!!!capri_rob wrote:Fookin 'ell - in the 1st ad a 110L fuel tank is mentioned - over £150 to fill up

Bi-T's can never be bought and run on a shoe string, that includes filling the tank!

I got photos of the car today, the interior doesn't look as awful as I had feared!
But, I have also started this thread!
