Hey guys,
So I've an alpina that I know has lots of BMW service history, at least 12 stamps. I bought it off a numpty friend who was emigrating to the states in a rush and couldn't find the book. He bought it in 2007 with FBMWSH and had it serviced at a specialist. I think I can get the specialist to stamp it up for the visits its had with them.
Even on the alpina register it shows as having 12 stamps:

But my local dealer, sytners and BMW UK combined have only managed to find 2 service visists for the car in 2001/2002 (and that was Bristol Dick Lovett who have no relationship to the car, have never seen it, just seem to be better at finding this info than the other dealers!). Some dealers (Sytners Notts!) say they can only get info for their own dealership, and Sytners even said they only have details back to 2006, and thus nothing on my alpina. I've emailed Matthew Stripling (Alpina UK) who's trying to help. Any thoughts? Paul at Cotswold used to be great at finding cars' history, much better than the dealers I've used so far on this one, most of whom can't find anything!
