started to build a bit of a fun thing and decided to go for the btcc look with grafix

its A LOOKALIKE. its not going to be doing 140mph and going on its roof. its a 318i and now weighs about 3 tonnes so personally i have no concerns for its intended use.

Lookalike or not.. If you have an accident in it, the scaffold will spilt open/fail, you don't have to be sticking on it's roof at 140mph. Mind you, you'd have already likely put a hole in your noggin with those brackets. Fuck that for a laugh..

honestly mate....dont worry yourself
i tried to split this pipe with the bender and it broke the forming part clean in half down its lenght with 25 tonnes of pressure on it....i have no concerns. il post a pic of the bender tomo

Got to agree with Dan here, that cage is just an accident waiting to happen! There are regs for cages and these are there for a reason. I know you say you won't be using it for track stuff etc but even a "normal" road accident could cause huge problems.
And obviously the insurance company would be less than happy with it.

I am worried with good reason.. So you are saying cage builders use seamless tube for no reason when they should be raiding building sites....?! Never mind putting pointy hard bits right where a head would go.
Not a chance would I use scaffold to build a cage, show or not. End of. I am afraid you can post all the pics in the world, but you are wrong on this one.
