checking for service history

I've just bought a e36 touring but the guy i bought it off has lost everything service book mot etc
I've got a copy of the mot but how do i get history from dealers does it cost me anything?

Ring up BMW in Bracknell. Give them your chassis number. It will cost nowdays. Then ring up the individual dealers it went to so you can check what was done.
Do a hpi check and it will check the mots if any were done electronically.
