Yeah 3.4 Turbo M30. Earlier ones were 3.2.

Check out the options you could have!

745i was also the moniker given to the M88 powered South African E23.

I'd have one of those in an instant.

There was a 745i racer competed regularly at Ingliston in the early/mid 80s. Drove there. Competed. Drove home.
