Hexagon always have lots of lumpy tackle like these, Z8's, nice spec E46 330Ci Sport Convertibles, E34 and E39 M5's etc.
Unusual stuff always sells. When I worked at a dealer, about the fastest selling car was a manual transmission 630i which sold in 2 days with over 10 enquiries. So did a facelift X5 3.0i manual - the only one for sale in the UK.

They exist! So do manual six speed 545i E60's - about the only E60 I'd entertain.bss325i wrote:Ive never seen a manual E6x six!Andyboy wrote:Hexagon always have lots of lumpy tackle like these, Z8's, nice spec E46 330Ci Sport Convertibles, E34 and E39 M5's etc.

Odd spec 'undesirable' stuff is where the real money often is. No other bugger dares to have a bid, so a brave sales manager will put a cheeky 'kick in the nuts' bid in and often win it. Such a car was a metallic maroon 2004 730Li (M54). I think there was about 4 grand in that one, or about 4 x 320d's worth of profit. Again, it was the only LWB E65 in the dealer network and the only 730i.

The old sales manager at Chandlers Hailsham (Now DP at Barons Hindhead) was a tad boring in the respect of stock buying, mainly 118d's, 320d's and the usual dross. His successor was more adventurous with plenty of M tackle and 7's.
Where i am now at Vines Gatwick has a decent'ish mix but ive seen nothing oddball or meaty jump out at me.

Claus Luthe also did the E28, the Mark 1 Polo and the 1968 Audi 100. A clever Guy and probably the equal of Giugiaro.

Hexagon of Highgate.
I saw that Z1 there last year unless it is a different one. They got a spin-off Hexagon Classics or something or other which i think there Z1 was maybe there.
They had a E34 M5 3.6 in great condition too, fair few BMW E39 M5s.
They got a fair selection of BMW E46 M3s too.
Though i dont know how all there cars are so low mileage????
PS
E60 M5s were available in manual in USA.

I still like stopping in to oggle the Z8s.
I can only see the Z1 appreciating tbh.
