not sure where to post this. :)

anyone know how much hassle it would be to change a switchtronic box to a manual box on an m50 e36 3.0 alpina?

thought i read somewhere that changing from auto to manual on m60's was difficult due to some bolts being difficult to get off without breaking things, wondered if it was the same deal for these switchtronic things?

it's for putting in my e30 so i don't need to worrry about pedal boxes etc. winkeye gearbox i currently have on mine is e36 328i.

Should bolt up with the manual flywheel, clutch, spigot bearing. You would have to do some research as the ecu takes an input from the box so I am not sure how it runs without it.

Easy, my B3 donk originally came with a switchtronic box, S52 job, just the gearbox plug and trans ECU section to chop out the loom 8)

hmm, might be worthwhile then.

so my m52 'box will just bolt up with it's current m20 fly setup? i thought you had to use a different setup on yours dan?

does the ecu not miss the autobox with the inputs removed? does the m50 ecu not work with my current m52 loom?
