help!
Her ladyship had some berk remove her wingmirror at speed recently. I've got a replacement for the whole thing off the bay-of-e and I'm wondering how to fit it. It looks like there must be some removable trim on the inside on the door, three bolts and an electrical plug. Is there anything I need to know?
The car is a 2000 E46 touring.....

Ive had a nightmare with mirrors on my e46 - now sorted - do you have a 12 pin plug or a 6 pin plug - make sure you have the correct one before you do anything.
Door panel needs to come off 2 screws in armrest, 1 in the door release (pop the circular cap out), 1 behind the "airbag" insert - just pops out.
You also need to remove the mirror control switch and disconnect the plugs.
I would avoid removing the door release cable from the handle if possible as it is tricky to refit - just drop the door panel down a bit.
Pop the triangular cover off - mirror is held on with 2 10mm bolts.
Then just the reverse.

Thanks John. I had a quick look at lunchtime and I think I'm going to regret the Harmon Kardon sound upgrade on this one, the tweeter pods look a bit tricky to get off
