hartge e36 compact ?

i saw a red e36 compact today that had h3 2.1 written on the back of it. it also had a hartge badge. i only saw the back of this car as it was ahead of me and i turned of so didnt really see much. is there such a car and are they any good as ive never seen one before.also it had what looked like a e30 style hartge exhaust.

Very rare car based on the 318ti with a bored and stroked M44B19 to make it a B21.

ok. so there is such a car. so is that a 2.1 4 pot i guess. must be pretty a brisk motor. funny cos theres a 318ti sport for sale right near my house which looks quite nice but ive never driven or been in one.this car has m style bodykit and sports seat with 5 star alloys. is the hartge car based on this car then

Yes its a four pot 2.1.
Yes the Hartge is based on a 318ti but not a 318ti Sport which is the same thing but the sport has the m tech body kit, black headling, m tech steering wheel etc just like and E30 325i Sport.
The Hartge car was based on the standard 318ti and had a hartge front spoiler, wheels and other bits.
I have had a black 318ti sport and it was an okayish kind of car but it was to slow and looked ugly like all compacts. The m tech body kit helped a bit with the looks but it was still a dumpy looking thing. Funily enough i had a set of Hartge split rims on mine.

This is how the f*cker ended up!

ouch. sorry for your mishap mate. did them lovely hartges get ruined.those alloys make me wanna
lol. i wish i followed it now for a closer look.what kinda performance figures would the hartge have had.

No, luckily i removed the hartges a week before that happened!

i think hartge did a 2.3 compact as well
and i'm sure schnitzer did a 2.1 as well
