Hey guys,
i haven't personally done this but a friend's neighbour has and has asked for assistance in getting INTO the car... It's an E46 330i saloon... the car is currently deadlocked so prising open the top of the door and hitting the unlock button will not work as after the doors are locked 10seconds the button automatically deactivates.
we've managed to get a hook in and open the bonnet so we have access to the engine ECU... this however triggered the alarm so we have also removed this from the car.
My question is the ignition wire in the ECU... if we were to disconnect the ECU from this wire and backfeed a 12v charge through it, can we fool the car into putting the ignition on thus giving us enough time to switch on the unlock button and press it... thus getting in to the car???

i work at a breakers yard so we try most things....
can you not get into the car through the rear quarter windows and get the seats down
theres small clips on the window they mite brake but if your good youll manage to get in to them....
i wouldnt go messing with the wiring prob do more damage than good,......

managed to get in the car
we disconnected the ignition wire from the ecu and then backfed a 12v charge down the ignition cable... this put the ignition on and then we put the windows down...
then we had to completly remove the rear bench to get to the emergency access panel and knock that out to get in the boot.
I'll say one thing for BMWs they're f*cking well built and an absolute C*NT to get into haha

Would have been quicker to break one of the rear lights and go in with a hook.
A secondhand rear light is cheap enough off ebay.
