How does 1 reset the service lights on an e36 323i using a jumper wire?
I've done this on my e30 when it was m20 but I imagine the pin numbers would be different.

Nice1 man, turns out the same pins as my e30 after all. 7 and 19 :D
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

caution, i read somewhere that jumpering the contacts can damage the ECU, it was recommended that you use a wire with a resistor in series to limit the voltage.

if someone with the peek tool can measure the resistance across the terminals with the tool service set switch depressed would be helpful.

5 amp in-line fuse would be wise but not essential. Been done plenty of times with just the wire :wink:

Yeah I did my m20 with just a wire jumping pins 7 and 19, worked a treat.
It will only mess with the ecu if you get the pins wrong
