One of my mates has a 1 series and his car is house bound due to the snow. I said he should get snow tyres but I was wondering what type of wheel will fit on the 1 series? Could a set of much cheepness E36 steel wheels fit for example? That way he'd have the snow set for winter sitting ready in the garage for the rest of the year!!

Smaller the wheel size the better.

They have the same centre bore as E36/E46 apart from E39 and use the same high offset IIRC

Standard E36 wheels are 15x6.5 ET47 IIRC

Width and offset/ET is normally stamped on the wheels somewhere also :thumb:
