A customer has asked me about a big brake kit for his E46 318ci.

I don't know why but he has.

Is there any other brakes that will bolt on without spending silly amounts? Like of E46 M3 for example.

Any help is appreciated :)

Jamie.

330i/Ci/d front brakes are bigger and a cheap upgrade.

All other E46 brakes (other than M3) are the same.

330i brakes will need 17 inch wheels.

I'd say a proper engine as opposed to some wheezing four pot would be a priority!

If customer wants to pay money for them to be fitted I don't mind what engine he's got :)

E46 front brake disc sizes

316i/318i/318d - 286x22
320i/320d - 286x22 or 300x22 depending on year
323i - 286x22
325i/328i - 300x22
330i/330d - 325x25
M3 - 325x28

Not sure what size wheels any of these need, and would probably imagine they all have a specific caliper to match.

christ i was right lol the e46 328 300mm discs will bolt up to the e36 hub, you can use existing calipers but need the carriers from the e46 to mount them, and use the existing servo.

fitting the 330i's 325mm brakes to an e36 means you'd have to also change calipers, carriers and servo/MS unless you want a spongy pedal

so, jamie although some of post is e36 related, depending on what size he has at them moment your options have been listed.
used 330i parts are expensive
