It's not that bad, a bit snazzy but then it's a showcar designed to make a statement. If it were all sprayed black, it would look pretty cool.

If it's sorted underneath and the interior is as good as he says, at least that. It wouldn't take too much to return it to something close to normal and solid ones are rare. I just sold mine for a bit less, but it needed some attention. You could more than likely find some mug to buy the alloys for a few quid to help fund the paint job.

Each to their own
Again why on earth would you do this to a car, i realy don't understand it, especially an E24 - a luxury executive sports coupe
And what is with the wheel choice

Horrible.
I would take it off him for free as long as he gave me enough cash to return it to its former proper OEM glory.

the more it goes for the better, then i can value mine higher
the car is rusty last time i saw it which was month ago
turd of the highest order
lance1a,
in what way do you think you can return it to something resembling normal/original ?
the bumper mounldings need changing the archers/wings need replacing due to the modifications, it needs a full paint job.
the guy has no taste , you should see the m5 he has !

Hard to say but apart from some cosmetics.........
The bumper corners have been smoothed over where the black inserts should be, the arches look extended but hard to tell if the original spats would cover that. The front bumper finishers look ok...just painted and the actual bumper doesn't look too bad, it just needs a insert that follows the continuation of the bumper corner inserts to make it look normalish. And about a ton of red scraped off.

well trust me, i've seen more than a few times and spats wont go back on. the colour coded bumper mouldings need replacing. they are not cheap and when they are removed they often deform

Pity it's been ruined like that. If as much effort had been put into making it a nice, straight original it would be worth a bit...maybe. An E24 has got to be exceptional to make real money, and I can think of perhaps five exceptional examples in the UK. Kos' red one is such a car.
Exceptional means perfect panel fit and paint, zero rust, mint chrome and interior, proper wheels - as it left the factory, basically. There's plenty of snotted up old crap about with 180'000 miles and they're worth f*ck all.

As long as the front and rear indicators , when flashing, are visible from the side of the car, side repeaters are not needed to pass an mot. An E30 does not have wrap around front indicators , hence any e30 post '85 (iirc) without side repeaters IS NOT MOT compliant .SpencerLavery wrote:How has he got an MOT without any side repeaters?
