Matt black is the WAY forward! Saw an Aston V8 Vantage at Le Mans this year that had been vinyl wrapped in matt black.. hmmm!
I think you will probably spot that the m535i needs lowering too - that's next on the agenda. I was considering coil overs but they are hideously expensive! Just need to find some lowering springs for her now!

Indeed. That's all waiting until the depths of winter though which is a shame. I have a more pressing project to spend my spare notes on atm which is getting the e30 cab into the body shop. The m535i needs quite a lot doing to it too after a hard season of abuse! all the rear bushes have completely given up so it crabs really badly now, then the gearbox could do with some attention and the stem seals are getting bad so thinking of rebuilding engine and gb too. At some point she needs a cage too....
.. oh yeah - and two new rear tyres for some reason! ;)

Erm! Yes and no. I intend to. I have a work shop so I am going to use the space and the engine stand I was given last week to have a go. I have done buts of engine work before but never a rebuild. The rebuild will mainly be to check her over and replace gaskets and seals as she is powerful enough at the moment. I am debating a 4.4 v8 though in the future, I was inspired by this..

The sound would really suit my matt black car I think!

It does look evil for sure

4.4 V8 would be a giggle, there are several in various countries with that conversion or the simpler 4.0 from the E34.
Mark.

i would definately do the v8 conversion if its worth it..just think of how much power torque etc you would gain and weigh up the pros and cons...i was going to do a 2.5 conversion to mine but it worked better to rebuild my 1.8 lump .suits my driving style better (do the v8

)
