got my MOT next weekend.
and i havent got tax or insurance, if i got pulled over would the police let it slide as im on the way to or from the garage?

You are able to drive the car to the nearest M.O.T station as long as its booked in... So make sure you ring them first.
Its one of them dodgy situations... Without and MOT, or insurance you cant tax your car... And I dont think you can insure it either if it has neither of the above...
Just make sure you book it in advance!!

Yeah, but no detours and the MOT centre has to be within reasonable distance. So I can't buy your car in London and drive it to an MOT centre in Liverpool that just happens to be half a mile from where I live...

You can drive an untaxed, un MOT'd car to a pre booked appointment at an MOT station but it has to be insured.
If you crash into a new rolls royce on your way to the test station in your uninsured, untaxed, un MOT'd turd what do you think the Police will say to you ?
Get it insured - even if its temp cover just for the day - with all the ANPR equipped police cars about its just not worth the risk of getting caught without it.
