Long story short, it was fine one day, next time it wouldn't start. Have checked it over, the fuel pump runs when you turn the key, also has a really strong spark, so guessing the immobiliser and Ews are all ok.
To say I'm confused is an understatement!
What symptoms do crank/cam sensors give?
Any thoughts much appreciated
Andy

Right checked the plugs, dry as a bone! Fired some petrol into the throttle body and it runs
There is fuel that comes out of the front of the fuel rail, but not as much as I would expect? The pump can be heard running when you first turn it on/ crank it.
The elbow between the MAF and throttle body is fubbered where the smaller pipe from below joins.
Could the air getting in here stop it running as its not pulling it through the MAF?
Could the fuel pump be lazy?
Which is the fuel pump relay?
Many thanx

i would fix the air leak between the maf and throttle body as that would make the car think there is not as much air going in as it actually is meaning it would put in less fuel.

my donor touring ran with no ill effects for god knows how long with an inlet boot gubbed in a similar manner so it might have nowt to do with it. can't be any worse with a new one on though and they are not pricey.

Ordered from the stealers this morning, will collect tommorrow. I'm guessing for blocked fuel filter (unlikely) or lazy fuel pump. Will keep the thread updated
