E34 Heater issue

Hi there, I have a 89 G plate 525ise with an m20 engine. My heater seems to blow constantly hot making it rather unbearable in the summer weather, great when its cold, but then the car starets to become a bit of an oven. Any ideas?

Usually this issue is caused by the heater valve dying. The valve is located on the n/s bulkhead .
Sometimes stripping them down and cleaning them can get them working correctly again.
