hi guys,

got a mate going to look at a bmw 330ci sport

does anyone know what to look out for in general with these cars apart from usual hpi check etc??? any info would be much appreciated....

Check the right tyres are fitted, should be 225/40r18 on the front and 255/35r18 on the rear since the rear wheels are 8.5" wide and the fronts 8"

Personally I'd like to know why the wheels have been sprayed gunmetal, just for cosmetic reasons or have they been refurbed following a crash or lots of kerbing... give them a good check over.

Find out what service is due next, an oil service is literally just change the oil and filter, change the microfilter and check the brake pad linings. Inspection 1 and 2 services (alternate) are much more expensive. If a service is due (the dash display tells you when.). use this to knock the price down.

It looks good, but a bit too good? V low mileage for that reg- as long as the paperwork matches and looks OK then maybe....

clocking will leave a lit pixel above the odo display so a haircut will be obvious.

all else fails, plug a diagnostic in there, the true mileage(stored as km !! ) is in the CCM unit, they all have one..
