Failed MOT on emmisions,lambda reading little high.
Idle is a bit lumpy and when the engine is switched off there is a loud whoosing sound from around the inlet for a few seconds.
Ive replaced the crank breather pipe and also the rocker cover breather as both were badly knackered.
Seemed to run much better but still got an air leak.
I suspect it number 9 in the pic but not 100% sure?
It seems to be pushing a lot of air out of what looks like a vent slot in the top of it....surely not meant too?
Ive tried blocking it up but seems to run lumpy still and idle inreases to 800.
Is this item known to go wrong and would ir cause the above issue?
Need to get it retested in the morning if poss.
