I've never seen anything like this before. It's a '96 740i that's had an engine swap for a 2.8 Nissan diesel. Apparently there's an engineer's report accompanying the conversion, so it's presumably been reasonably well executed. I was a bit aghast when I first saw it, but as I thought about it I can see it has pros and cons. It hasn't got a delicious V8 in it any more, but it has got a decent diesel, which should be a lot more pleasant at the pumps. You still get all the BMW build quality, the luxurious interior and so on, but without the ruinous running costs. I know there's a bit of a scene dropping big Japanese motors into E28s in the US - hasn't 'Rusty' got a turbo engine from a Skyline or something like that these days? - so it's not entirely unprecedented...

What does anyone think?

Different cool and weird all at the same time lol

Different because it is cool because it was save costs with the fuel prices these days and weird driving a 7 without the V8 BMW put in there in the first place.
