My mate bought one a while ago. It was an M Sport 320d on a 55 plate. He's had it for bout 8 months and hasn't had any problems with it. A very nice car, typical german reliabilty.

E9x 320d models started with 163 bhp iirc from 05-07 plate. Anything after approx Sept 07 build date has the N47 177 bhp efficient dynamics engine, which is the one to have, as you get 128g/km and auto start/stop.

Having said that, mine broke down on the M1 with only 3000 miles on the clock when a spring within the turbo actuator failed...

He bought it a while ago and as its an Msport it cost him just over £9000, which was a good price at the time. His also had it re-mapped so it's pushing about 200hp IIRC.
