HI guys,
My e34 525 needs new blades and I could do with some good advise on this subject .
I currently run my e30 on flat blades from Tesco and after 12 months I`m really pleased with them , especially after this crap winter we have had so I was wondering if I can fit these to my e34 , and if so could you tell me what size blades I need please :o:
Any other ideas on blades will be most welcome along with a link to where I could buy them from.

Cheers, Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.

Bosch wiper blades, from your local motorfactor/Halfrauds, a quick google says you need a pair of 24" blades.

Easier said then done. My local Halfrauds doesnt make Halfrauds own ones for my car..... and they NEVER have the Bosch ones. I suppose I could order them of t'interweb but....

I must be lucky, almost everywhere round here stocks Bosch, It cost me £12 for a pair of 20" wipers from the local parts shop, 1 with a spoiler and 1 without.

how long do you plan to keep the car for?

Piaa silicone blades are the only ones i would actually pay for.

ok, so they seem silly expensive (between £15 and £20 each usually ) but theyre awesome. they make bosch blades feel like poundland specials, they work prefectly no matter what the temperature, never ever seem to wear out and leave the screen with a water repellant 'just rainX'd ' type coating.

the ones on my e30 have been on for 3 years, and still work like new. all the bosch ones ive tried have started juddering in well under a year, and don't work as well as piaa ones even when new.
cheers,

harry

I read about these silicone blades in Practical Classics. Very popular in Scandinavia and other lots of snowy/icy countries.

Trade card at Halfords
Being the operative word. Had a mate who worked on bikes but as a staff perk had a trade card. Trouble is he gone to work at a different store. Now I'm back to square one
