WOW that's pretty well cooked, the stuff that came out of my dads fiat was a nice golden brown, after 85K... the brand new stuff was about the same colour

What gets me is BMW wont change this if you take your motor in for a few hundred pounds service

I changed the filter and oil on Basil's E39 530i auto which had done about 100k.
That uses a lifetime oil and you should have seen what came out of that!
Cars from 2004, coolant is also life time!
