Anyone had experience of either of these cars

Just trying to get as much feedback on them as possible, before looking at one on Saturday.
the ad for the one i'm looking at only says it's a blue 99" model(must be 99 registered 98 car methinks??) with 91K miles and "very tidy"
Price has been reduced since it 1st came up for sale

It's only a couple of miles down the road so no biggee if it's a turd.
Potential fragger/engine donor if the engine is decent(due to low asking price).

Any idea as to book price or rough private sale guide prices.
No mention of FSH,but will check for dealer or independant service history.

Anything in particular to double check while I'm there?

TIA

Not much I think. basically any problems that the standard E39 has.

Had a look at that.
It appears to have the earlier one fitted though.
It hasn't deterred me,so I bought the thing anyway.

Time to order the upgraded tensioner I think.

Picking it up on Saturday.
I'll get a few before and after shots, as it's been sitting under trees in the p155ing rain, feeling unloved etc for the past month

Looks pretty much like any other E39 with a rim swap, ebay badges and spoilers tbh, with the exception of BMW Alpina being on the V5c winkeye
