M tech suspension was standard on all UK market 2dr coupes including the 318iS. Electric windows and central locking and thats about it. Everything else seems to be an option on them as there are some real basic cars out there!
18x8.5's with 225/40 and 18x9.5 with 245/35 on the back is about the max you want to go in size with 19's giving a shit ride and clearance issues.
17's are a better bet for handling and ride and still look ok.

That all depends on offset and rim width.whipsey wrote:will 18's need any arch mods?bss325i wrote:M tech suspension was standard on all UK market 2dr coupes including the 318iS. Best all round E36 wheels are the 16 inch double spokes. Not too big or heavy and they look good. M3 wheels on a 318iS just looks council unless a) they're sunflowers and b) you've got the bumpers to go with them.
318iS suspension is M Technic - shorter springs and damper rods, slightly stiffer damping, shorter bump stops, thicker anti roll bars.

I have some 17" bbs split rims. Need a refurb. They are not the bbs on the 328 sport, they are the bbs rc090 style.kabeer wrote:Hi Whipsey, whipsey wrote:i'm trying to work out whats standard spec when it comes to suspension etc also what wheels fit and the best exhaust.....thanks
