M tech suspension was standard on all UK market 2dr coupes including the 318iS. Electric windows and central locking and thats about it. Everything else seems to be an option on them as there are some real basic cars out there!

18x8.5's with 225/40 and 18x9.5 with 245/35 on the back is about the max you want to go in size with 19's giving a shit ride and clearance issues.

17's are a better bet for handling and ride and still look ok.

Depends what wheels you like the look of? What about some M3 alloys (can't remember the names) - they look like a throwing star.

That all depends on offset and rim width.

All E36 M3 wheels are 17" unless you meant E46 M3 alloys?

Best all round E36 wheels are the 16 inch double spokes. Not too big or heavy and they look good. M3 wheels on a 318iS just looks council unless a) they're sunflowers and b) you've got the bumpers to go with them.
318iS suspension is M Technic - shorter springs and damper rods, slightly stiffer damping, shorter bump stops, thicker anti roll bars.

Seems like a good chance to whore some pics of my old car - damn taxi driver wrote it off, anyway, I think these are the wheels Andy is talking about.

Those are the rimz. The best looking E36 wheels imo, big enough to look good but not so big as to look Ripspeed.

best wheels were the 328 sport bbs rims.

For an exhaust get a nice supersprint, good for power gains, nice burble, not chavvy.

I have some 17" bbs split rims. Need a refurb. They are not the bbs on the 328 sport, they are the bbs rc090 style.
