Touring purely because I dont like the look of the old 5s - I dont think its iconic, classic - whatever you want to call it - I think they look like big underpowered buses.

From a value perspective the touring is probably worth more now and in the future. The 525 will end up in the low £100s as it's not a desirable model.

Thats a very tidy 525i sport with Alpina's. I'd got with that.

The touring is far more desirable than the 5. Although the 5 looks cool, it isn't as practical or as much fun to drive generally. Far more comfortable though I suppose.

I couldn't give that calypso touring away.

I,d be asking myself " why does he want to swap ", and i don,t mean there must be something
wrong with the 525
Think you,d miss the Touring more than he,d miss the 5.
Both very nice looking cars though.

The only reason he's getting rid as he can use this for his tropical fish business ,saves him buying an extra vehicle,
Got to say the 525 is more comfortable, and does drive a dream.
Saying that love the tourer, and if i do let it go i know I'll be in

Its a tuff one but not always down to how much money you can make. Bet your heart is saying e30 and head is saying 525.

Good luck with your decision fella.

Get the Sport and ask this question on a 5 series forum :D
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

Oof, a bit steep that (this is not meant as a derisory remark however), not many e34's go for that much.

That being said - they're both great cars, at the end of the day is what YOU like best and what suits your needs.

Depends what donk the Touring has?

The E34 does look clean but a 525i is not a highly desireable model and it wont be going anywhere quickly @ £2.5K IMO...

If it is then the E34's value is probably higher, rare colour or not!
