i visited a car breakers today and there was a 5 series touring for breaking. you'll never guess why it was in there.....it had run out of petrol!!

honestly, i kid you not. the stroppy car dealer owner got so annoyed about it, he said to the yard owner..."make me an offer". so he did, and ended up with a really nice silver 540i, absolutely nothing wrong with it except being worth more in parts than whole!
not a mark on it! beautiful black leather, wood trim and a 4.0 litre V8!
i wonder how busy Ant is these days..

Just to clarify, YOU left a , in your words, minty 540 manual touring in the hands of a scrap yard neanderthal to go home and apply some more P40 to a patched up 'D' plate 325
A MANUAL 6 speed 540 touring in NICE condition with reasonable mileage is £2k+ ! You will need to sell a lot of headrests to match the potential eric on the 540 !

"minty" not my word (the most over-used word on the zone!). he is certainly NO neanderthal. i'm not applying any P40 to any car and certainly not my sport, if that's what your implying pete.
i like E30s, i really am not interested in a big, thirsty, estate car. nowhere to put it, don't wish to have to insure it and really can't stand most of the nothing-better-to-do timewasters pretending to be interested in buying a car just for a free joyride, thanks.
the owner won't usually sell cars for the road anyway.

Calm down ! The P40 quip was a bit of light hearted banter, I know you have a sense of humour, you have an IS AND a morris 1100 !
Unlike yourself I like big thirsty estate cars, especially ones I can smell an eric in.
Can I have said Neanderthals number ? If I prise it from his sledge like mits I will give you a financal token of my appreciation !

Eric = Ernie (Morcambe & Wise) = an 'earner' (profit).
A Bag = bag of sand = a grand (£1000).
Billies = Billy Bunters = Punters.
"Fackin' ell. I just 'ad some Council Billy drippin' in Tom come in on that 540i. The caant bunged me a couple of bags, lovely eric in that"

E30's do not deserve engines from E34 Manual 540i's.
