Hi All,

I had a shocking journey home the car would not shift into 4th, i'm not even sure if it got to 3rd...it just revd away at the high end of the gear but not change!! With regard to the workings of Auto transmission what would cause the car not to shift up. Is it transmission fluid? how would you check the level or is it Air flow related... if someone could give me the 101 on auto-transmission that would be a great start in sorting this out.

Are you sure you never knocked it over in to sports/ tiptronic?

Hmmm... I can shift over to manual shift but there definitely isn't anything sport about my model... as far as i can tell you it was in it normal automatic position... :?
