What mpg do both of these cars average? Trying to weigh up running costs. I'm mainly motorway if that helps

I assume it's an IS E30? Mine used to do about 40 ish on a motorway. Have no clue what the E36 is capable of though.

i get 38 on the motorway in my E30 IS and thats with the odd bit of lead foot, lot less round town but never really checked

i get around 30mpg around town, and late 30s on the motorway

I get around 30+mpg round town and touching 40mpg on a motorway run in the wifes E36 compact 318ti (virtually same lump as m42)
