The sort of car you see outside Harrods, alongside stretched Maybachs, Merc S600s, pimped up Quattroportes and Porsche 911 Turbos on Dubai plates

It must be an import from the plates, it's the wrong colour, it isn't what it says it is, it's far too much money for such a white elephant, and anyone driving it would look a total berk. Load of old toss if you ask me.

Probably a Japanese import. They never made a E38 B12 5.0. They only made B12 5.7 and 6.0. Hes trying to replicate a Alpina that never existed, except in the E32. Its also a pre-facelift converted to a facelift.

White is a stunning colour on many cars but the E38 isn't one of them.

It looks horrid.

Year of manufacture 1996, but date of first registration was 05/08/2004 so prolly a Jap import. Could be a nice car if it wasn't white.

Rear 'picnic' tables, hard to find on these as I've been looking for a while. Shame it's in white and not genuine. Big old german cars should be in dark colours...al la Ronin.

Wasnt there a genuine one of those in the alpina forums not too long ago that got written off and the owner lost it in a salvage auction for a mere fraction of the price and the new owner went back on the alpina forums to take the p$ss???

I remember a zoner on here posted the link..................was quite a thread!

I think Toby Bovingdon (the guy selling the white E38) is Jethro Bovingdon's brother. Jethro is the ex-EVO writer and former Driver's Republic founder (although it's now gone into administration).

I think. It's not fact.
