I like it but I'm a sad coont and socially retarded apparently, so its hardly glowing praise.

I'd love it if it had some serious bling in the engine bay for a contrast, an S50 with chrome detailing would look the shizzle.

i like it because it's completely different to the bruvved up e36s, even though i don't really like it

what size are the wheels? 15in e34bbs or larger? hard to tell because the whitewalls seem to pull them out and make them look bigger
cheers,

I quite like it. Its original in a sense that you've put youve used your imagination unlike every other e36 owner which has or dreams of having the e36 kit on their car.

How did you get the rust effect on your bonnet?

Haha...some very mixed comment's of which i've come to expect, however , none of which at all bother me

It is what it is and the posative comment's far outdo the negative ones throughout the many forum's it has been shown

I like the 'rat look' - not something I'd do myself, but it's cool to do something different from every other car 'scene'.

Not my cuppa tea but still a good job nonetheless. I think it would have been pulled off better on an older model (e21, 02, e12, e28 etc and possibly an e30. I think the e36 is still too 'new' to be ratted.

Looks absolutely awesome, was something I was serioiusly considering with my touring, only in satin brown, red cup alloys and whitewall tyres. But most likely going with a Marlboro theme now

I do really like rat cars, but I don't like the rusted bonnet, it looks too deliberate, which isn't what rat should be about IMO.

Nice to see something other than a veedub done in the rat style, well in the UK anyway! Rat rods are still the original and best! :D

nowt wrong with a bit of nato green! i like it, something different not just following the heard. although it needs to have something serious under the bonnet to fully get away with it. imo it just needs a bit of chrome detailing to contrast the matt green  thinking about doing something similar to the e30 matt black or messerschmitt grey with chrome highlights pipes etc.

Loose the hidious bonnet (3rd ive seen in as many weeks! why?) and paint along with the silly mirrors, and it wouldn't look too bad, on a posative note, liking the white walls! :)

Hang on ....and i'll do this in pic format ..

1..deliberate rusting of bonnet = grinder, all paint ,primer ,filler removed ,add some vinegar and salt water = result in 5/6 days

Image

2..Mother nature way of rusting bonnet = grinder + wire wool , leaving patches of primer , filler & thats it, our climate takes care of the rest ...IMO i feel this gives it more of a dry Cali desert rust appearance...

Image

So in anwsering your " look's too deliberate "comment, it isnt as deliberate as the 1st pic winkeye

I see what you're saying there, but it just looks a little strange with just the bonnet rusty is what I'm getting at. Granted though yours does look much better than that E46.
