...around Brands Hatch. Very good fun, it's an impressive bit of kit. The G force experienced going around Paddock Hill bend was amazing.

The instructor drove for a couple of laps and the end of the session and that was quite something, we must have been going sideways for about half the lap. Not the fastest way around a track I know but very good fun.

Nice I want to do a few track day things.

One where you drive a lotus elise, DB9, Murchielargo, Gilardo, Ferrari 360 spider, 911 and do something mad in a polo 1.4!
Also, a classic car one to drive a DB4, Cobra replica (but rebuilt to classic standards!), Jag E-Type and something else.

I would love to add some modern BMWs and Jap crap etc to the list. Finally, some fast fords (a couple of cossies or something) and old E30 M3 to the list. Then I can die a happy petrol-head (as long as I complete my project, and build a kit car!).

I recently drove the E36 M3, which was rapid and ok to drive. The E46 M3 is supposedly much nicer to drive, but more dissappointing on the fun side and the E92 is supposed to be great again!

It was great to drive although with all the electronic stuff that's it's got it's very easy to drive, which for me learning the line of the track and breaking points etc was great but I think that after a while it could become a bit too easy. There's also something about the e30 that makes you feel very connected with the car and the feedback it gives is great, I felt this was lacking slightly in the e92, but I think that's true with a lot of modern cars.

I want to get my e30 on track now...

Not cheap, I think it costs £180.

I got it as a birthday present.

the e92 is a nice and quick car but I would take my white 325i sport on the track any day because you get more fun in an sport IMO

After driving an E36 M3, i'd take an E30 325i anyday. Although I'd have the M3 as the simple daily. The E30 is a much more "fun" car.

Utter b*llocks. I've got an E30 325i and 320is, as wellas an E92 M3 as my daily driver. I regularly top out at 170 mph on the autobahn in the M3 - the E30s feel slow and prehistoric in comparison.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my E30s, but especially around the 'ring, they don't really do it for me any more as they're just not that fast.

If you want to experience fear in it's truest, rawest form, get on a track in an E92 M3 and switch everythigng off. Guaranteed to stir you up!

If you want to experiance fear in its ultimate form than drive an Audi R8. That is seriously quick and would scare the shit out of you and provides the ultimate G-Force, I did 130mph in second gear on the track and the power in the car is phenomenal.

30 mins in the car though? Also are you rev limited? Brands in the (distant) past used to set a 4k rpm limit on their cars. Which does kind of spoil it for me!

It's not our fault you can't maintain corner speed at the ring  :P Many a faster car has been passed by a local in something with less than 200bhp!
