Hello all,

Had the style 42s re-furbed by lepsons last week and they have done a spanking job again. The original finish for these I believe is a painted centre and polished lip, mine had clearly been refurbed before as the outer rims were painted. However as they had not been seperated they had started to flake badly from the inner edge. So I did consider flogging them and getting some style 5s, but everybody seems to have those and I wanted something different. I approached several companies and the others were not prepared to split them and do the job properly, however Lepsons said they would unbolt them do the two peices seperately then re-assemble them. I had a look at the finishes available and gambled on a black chrome paint centre and bright chrome paint outer rim, a slight risk but it seems to have paid off. It should be more durable than a laquered polished lip too (I hope)... anyway here are some pics.
